Day Ten: June 14th 2015
posted on junio 14, 2015 10:18
Fish diversity in the upper Machariapo watershed is much more than expected before the trip with at least eleven species registered to date. This habitat is very poorly known, for example, three of the catfish genera encountered require a major distribution wide taxonomic revision. In the evening the mammal team register a pair of kinkajou (
Potus flavus
) at 1,950 meters above sea level, an altitudinal record for Bolivia for this Procyonid carnivore.
