The Jabiru is the largest stork in the western hemisphere, weighing in at nearly 8 kilograms and can reach a height of 122-140 cm with a wingspan close to 3 meters! Completely white body with a black head and neck, separated from each other by a red ring of skin which can vary in size. They use their strong and robust black beak to fish and catch small amphibians and reptiles. In the Chaco, it can be found nesting atop palm trees (Copernicia alba) and lays 3-4 eggs.
