Request for proposal and Terms of Reference: Consultant to develop a sustainability strategy for the NCC.

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Solomon Islands seeks a consultant to develop an institutional and sustainability strategy for the Solomon Islands Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF) National Coordinating Committee (NCC).

The consultancy will support the long-term establishment of the NCC as a nationally owned, government-led, multi-stakeholder coordination mechanism for coral reef governance, fisheries management, and marine conservation in Solomon Islands. Building on the NCC's existing role as the national platform for coordinating implementation of the CTI-CFF National Plan of Action (NPOA) and the National Action Plan for Coral Reefs (NAP), the consultant will assess current institutional arrangements, identify sustainable governance and financing options, and develop a practical roadmap for institutionalization.

Through this work, the NCC will be better positioned to provide ongoing leadership, coordination, stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and adaptive management in support of national coral reef conservation and sustainable resource management priorities.
