To enhance local food security, WCS is working with traditional reef owners to sustaibably manage their marine resources. This is being achieved through providing in depth fisheries managment training based on identification of threats and how to address these threats through a mix of traditional and modern managment inititatives. This incudes use of taboo sites for protection of key habitats and species, including fish species that aggregate to spawn.
