On March 5th, 2013, WCS Canada hosted a workshop on corporate social responsibility at the world's largest mining convention, PDAC 2013, in Toronto. The session ended up being standing room only, showing that the mining industry's interest in this topic has risen considerably in recent years. Panelists, including WCS Canada's Justina Ray, WCS's Ray Victurine, and representatives from three mining companies, discussed how companies can integrate biodiversity concerns into their operations and how the costs and benefits of doing so add up.
