Since 2009 Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Canada and The W.Garfield Weston Foundation have worked together to effect large scale conservation outcomes and wildlife recovery in Ontario’s Far North and Northern British Columbia/Southern Yukon; two of Canada’s most pristine, yet imminently threatened, northern regions. WCS Canada’s scientific research, largely supported by the Foundation, is being applied to decisions affecting conservation and development in northern Canada. This work also involves the mentoring of young scientists through The W. Garfield Weston Graduate Fellowship program. Click here to find out more.
