Hatching Hope: 39 Critically Endangered Burmese roofed turtles emerge from eggs
Yangon, Myanmar (June 15, 2017) –In a boost to their Critically Endangered species, 39  Burmese-roofed turtles have hatched in Limpha Village , Myanmar, report scientists from WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) and Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA). The news follows that of the recovery of 44 viable eggs in the wild reported by WCS on April 11, 2017.

Cool Effect Partners with WCS to Save Madagascar’s Makira Natural Park
June 15, 2017 -- Cool EffectTM, a non-profit organization curating the world’s premier carbon reduction projects, announced the addition of Madagascar’s Makira Natural Park Project to its platform in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). Bighorn Backcountry an Alberta gem that needs to be safeguarded

Edmonton, Canada (June 14, 2017) – A new scientific analysis by Wildlife Conservation Society Canada has identified a conservation gem nestled beside the two crown jewels of the Rocky Mountain national park system. The area, known as the Bighorn Backcountry, lies just east of Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta and represents one of the most ecologically important areas in the province’s Eastern Slopes region.
