We are pleased to announce that, as of 1 January 2019, Dr. Santi Saypanya (Joy) formally succeeds· Dr. Christopher Holmes as Country Director of the WCS Lao PDR Program.
Dr. Santi Saypanya joined WCS in 2002. He has a BA in Business from Comcenter College, Lao PDR, a MA in Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso, USA and Ph.D. in Conservation from Cornell University, USA. He has held a number of field and management roles in WCS Lao PDR, most recently Deputy Director.
With this transition, Dr. Christopher Holmes, now moves into a senior program advisor role within the WCS Lao PDR program, and will continue is his role as Director of Drivers Program in Greater Mekong Region, working on a number of specific initiatives focused around private sectors engagement in the region.
