WASHINGTON (March 23, 2018) – Congress has just passed an appropriations bill that will be very good news for international wildlife conservation. 

WASHINGTON (October 19, 2017) – Today, an amendment was offered to the Senate’s budget resolution that would have stopped the effort to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas drilling as a means to fund other priorities, including tax cuts. That amendment failed, and the budget subsequently passed, signifying one step closer to irreparable damage to one of America’s last remaining pristine places. 

Washington, D.C. (May 23, 2017) – As three of the world’s largest international conservation organizations, WCS, TNC and WWF call on Congress to protect our country’s investments in foreign assistance and to adopt a budget that continues to support our nation’s legacy of global conservation and humanitarian leadership.

 

New York City – April 12, 2017 – New York City’s culture and arts organizations applauded the New York City Council for their response to Mayor De Blasio’s proposed budget for fiscal 2018.  In their response, councilmembers acknowledge the need to increase operating support for the more than 1,500 culture and arts organizations that serve as an educational and economic resource for New Yorkers in five boroughs.
