Prospect Park Zoo

Sept. 12, 2017 -- The following remarks were delivered by Bronx Zoo Director Jim Breheny as he was sworn in as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Jim, who has worked at the Bronx Zoo since he was 14, now serves as Director of the Bronx Zoo and Executive Vice President of Zoos and Aquarium for the Wildlife Conservation Society, overseeing its five zoological parks in New York City, including the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and New York Aquarium.

July 10, 2017 – The Wildlife Conservation Society’s five zoological parks in New York City, the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo are joining 19 Association of Zoos and Aquariums parks nationwide to announce the launch of a consumer campaign and business commitment to drive a shift away from using single-use plastics.

WCS's Prospect Park Zoo Hosts Carnival Zumba
Brooklyn, N.Y. – August 19, 2016 – The WCS’s (Wildlife Conservation Society) Prospect Park Zoo will host Carnival Zumba to celebrate West Indian culture on Sunday, Aug. 28, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will be attended by local government officials State Senator Jesse Hamilton, Assemblywoman Diana Richardson, State Senator Kevin Parker, and Congresswoman Yvette Clarke.
