Brooklyn, NY – Feb. 2, 2011 – Herbie, a Flemish giant rabbit, is ringing in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo.
 
Weighing about 18 pounds, the Flemish giant is one of the largest breeds of domestic rabbit in the world. Herbie is not on exhibit but participates in the Animal Encounters educational presentation every Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo - Open every day of the year.  Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $5 for children 3 to 12, and free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 10am – 5:30pm weekends, April through October, and 10am – 4:30pm daily, November through April. Tickets are sold until one half-hour before closing.
