Brooklyn, NY- October 21, 2011 – A dwarf mongoose surveys its new exhibit at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo. The family of six previously lived at WCS’s Central Park Zoo. They can be seen in the Animals in Our Lives building.

Dwarf mongoose are native to the grasslands of southern Africa and are the continent’s smallest carnivore.

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo - Open every day of the year. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $5 for children 3 to 12, and free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 10am – 5:30pm weekends, April through October, and 10am – 4:30pm daily, November through April. Tickets are sold until one half-hour before closing.
