Deputy GIS Technician
Win Thuya Htut hold his B.A. in History at the University of Distance Education, and his Post Graduated Diploma in GIS & R-S from the Department of Geography of Dagon University. Previously he worked as freelance GIS expert (gmap, RS & GIS Service provider), and researched HIV Vulnerability and Service Availability in Mobility Settings. For the working experiences of environment sector, he played a key role in the development of Participatory Shifting Cultivation and Land-use Mapping Projects. In order to involve as a part of Environmental Conservation Development in Myanmar, he started working at the Wildlife Conservation Society as a Deputy Technician (RS & GIS) for Land Cover classification, Participatory Existing Land Use, and Eco-Tourism mapping.
Aung Htat Oo
GIS Assistant
Aung Htat Oo earned his B.A. degree in Geography from the Dangon University, and later attended a GIS Diploma course from the Yangon University. He has worked on a land-use project of the Inlay region, Southern Shan state. He is now working with the Wildlife Conservation Society as Assistant GIS technician.

Pyae Phyo Aung is a third−year English major student at the Dawei University. He has joined WCS in March 2014 as field assistant, and is responsible for conducting the bird survey in the Tanintharyi Region.

Tin Myo Thu has been practicing Geographic information systems and Remote Sensing (GIS/RS) since 2011. Since October 2014 he has joined the Wildlife Conservation Society and is working in the Southern Forest Complex and Taninthayi Region of Myanmar.

Alex Diment
Senior Technical Advisor
Alex Diment has broad experience in conservation, and combines in-depth knowledge of community-based development and conservation, with technical expertise in ecological monitoring, and skills in project management, strategic planning and programme development. Alex has a degree in biology from Oxford and a doctorate in predator ecology from Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and active in the Society for Conservation Biology. He has lived and worked for many years in Southeast Asia, particularly Cambodia, as well as in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. He has a particular interest in the management of invasive predators, and a fondness for medium-sized carnivores.
