The Wildlife Conservation Society, founded in 1895, has the clear mission to save wildlife and wild places across the globe. WCS's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 16 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity. We currently manage about 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries.

WCS has been working in partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia since 1999, providing technical advice and support for the conservation of key habitats and species across the country.

  • Duty station: Mondulkiri province

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in Communications or other relevant field.
  • Demonstrable strong capacity in IT and use of social media.
  • Prior experience in a communications role is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken Khmer and English language. Ability to write fluently in English for an international audience is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work independently.
  • Competency in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign for publications, and Adobe Premier video editing.

  • Duty Station: Mondulkiri province

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject especially have experience on LE/CP with other NGO
  • Extensive experience in Community-based Natural Resource Management (CF, CFi or CPA) activities
  • Experience in building capacity of community to manage resources
  • Experience in helping committees write reports/ contracts and clear expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, rural development or related field
  • Minimum two years’ experience in education and community development with a non-profit organization
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coordination skills, a good understanding of education of rural children, and natural resource management in the rural context
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good English (especially reading and writing)
  • Bunong language skills are a plus
  • Good analytical/problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in tourism, natural resource management, rural development or related field
  • At least three-year experience in on community organizing/development, especially in alternative livelihoods development and or eco-tourism development in Cambodia
  • Experience in training and facilitation skills
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coordination skills, a good understanding resource management in the rural context  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability work independently as part a team
  • Good speaking, reading, and writing skills in English
  • Bunong language is a plus
  • Good analytical/problem solving critical thinking skills
  • Good Computer (MS Words, Excel and PowerPoint)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree in Natural Resource Management, Tourism, Management, Business Administration or related fields.
  • At least 2-years field work experience on community organizing/development, especially in alternative livelihoods development and or eco-tourism development in Cambodia.
  • Experience in training and facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in Khmer
  • Good speaking, reading, and writing skills in English!
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint,…)
  • Knowledge of alternative livelihoods interventions and eco-tourism is an asset 
  • Knowledge of key biodiversity issues including key wildlife species
  • Able to work in remote area with low levels of technical support on site, with significant portions of time spent living and working in communities.
