The Wildlife Conservation Society, founded in 1895, has the clear mission to save wildlife and wild places across the globe. WCS's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 16 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity. We currently manage about 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries.

WCS has been working in partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia since 1999, providing technical advice and support for the conservation of key habitats and species across the country.

  • Duty Station: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in animal health, agriculture, or a related discipline 
  • Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) is an asset 
  • Work experience in wildlife conservation or wildlife medicine, livestock management, wetland ecology, and/or disease ecology 
  • Demonstrated project management skills including workflow and budget drafting, prioritizing tasks across multiple project components, and delivering on deadlines 
  • Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills to liaise professionally with partners and effectively communicate project activities and findings, including to local/international scientific and lay audiences 
  • Comfortable working in complex (often outdoor) settings; an ability to adapt approaches to local cultures and project situation, while maintaining a high professional standard 
  • Team-player, motivated, and collegial 
  • English and Khmer language proficiency required
