Bronx, NY – May 13, 2015 – A Bolivian gray titi monkey (Callicebus donacophilus) born in April is now on exhibit at WCS’s (Wildlife Conservation Society) Bronx Zoo. The family of titis live in a mixed-species exhibit in the Bronx Zoo’s World of Birds. Their habitat depicts a South American rainforest and also includes golden lion tamarins and gray-winged trumpeters, a bird species that opportunistically feeds on fruit dropped by primates.
Bronx, NY – May 11, 2016 – WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) is bringing back the Bronx Zoo Birdathon on Saturday, May 14. The Birdathon is a birding event during the peak of the spring migration season. This year’s Birdathon includes keeper chats, conservation experts, family activities, and a free-flying bird show presented by JetBlue Airways. The annual bird-watching event is open to birders of all skill levels, including families and novices.
New York – May 4, 2016 – Brew at the Zoo, new this year to WCS’s (Wildlife Conservation Society) Central Park Zoo, is a craft beer tasting event featuring foodie favorites and wild friends right in the heart of Manhattan. The two-night event will be held at WCS’s Central Park Zoo on Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21 from 8 to 11pm. More than 30 craft breweries will be represented and serving their variations of ales, lagers, porters, IPAs, and more.
