More Than  200 of Cambodia’s Royal Turtles Headed to New Center in Koh Kong
New York  (September 14, 2016) – The WCS ( Wildlife Conservation Society) in partnership with the Fisheries Administration (FiA) has announced that it is transferring 206 of Cambodia’s national reptiles—known as  Royal Turtles—to a new purpose-built breeding and conservation center in Mondol Seima district of Koh Kong province. The new facility will be named the Koh Kong Reptile Conservation Centre.

WCS Ecotourism Partner Named Finalist for 2016 World Responsible Tourism Awards
(London, England  August 29, 2016)Cambodia’s Sam Veasna Center (SVC) has been named one of just 13 finalists in the 2016 World Responsible Tourism Awards at the World Travel Market in London. SVC manages wildlife viewing trips with exclusive access to Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) sites across Cambodia.

Cambodia’s Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary Sells First Carbon Credits

The Royal Government of Cambodia, through a long-running partnership with Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), has sold to Disney the first carbon credits from a climate change mitigation project in Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, which encompasses a total area of 292,690 hectares.
