As the European Union (EU) continues deliberations on the potential closure of its domestic ivory market, WCS noted recent developments to call for the strongest EU trade ban possible.

BRUSSELS, Belgium (18 May, 2017) – WCS released a statement in response to the European Commission’s announcement of new measures related to ivory and wildlife trafficking.

WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) welcomed the Council of the European Union’s support for the EU Action Plan against Wildlife Trafficking this week.
