New York, August 22, 2024 – This Friday, August 23, marks the first celebration of International Guanaco Day, a celebratory day agreed upon by 40 governmental, academic, Indigenous, and civil society organizations, mainly from the countries inhabited by this native herbivore (Lama guanicoe) that connects landscapes and cultures in South America.
