A variety of programs are available for adults, families, and children of all ages.
The line-up of programming includes:
Toddler Time
Ages 2 & 3 with adult
Kids will meet a variety of furry, scaly, and feathered zoo animals in this six-session interactive program. Crafts and musical activities are part of the fun.

Saturday Series starting Sept. 12; 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 12 to 1:00 p.m
Friday Series starting Sept. 24; 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday series starting Nov. 7; 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 12 to 1:00 p.m.

Kinder Kritters
Ages 4 to 5 with adult
Preschoolers will enjoy this fun-filled six-session program that will include animal guest, keeper chats, and a scavenger hunt.

Saturday Series starting Sept. 22; 2 to 3:00 p.m.

Bug Superheroes!
Ages 7 to 10
Children will go on an insect hunt with staff urban ecologists to learn about many super-powered insects.
Saturday Sept. 29; 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Fee: $35, members; $40 non-members
Celebrate Urban Birds
Children will learn about the birds here at the zoo and then go on a scavenger hunt to find out about wild bird friends that often come to visit.
Saturday Nov. 4; 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Fee: $35 members; $40 non-members
Winter Wetland Ecology
Children will investigate the wetland environment, discovering what lies beneath the snow and ice of the zoo’s ponds. Encounters with our animals that call the wetlands their home is included.
Saturday: Jan. 27; 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Winter Zoo Camp
Ages 5 to 9
Children will discover the natural world around them in a two-day camp that includes a behind the scenes tour, arts and crafts, and exciting animal presentations.
Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 26-27; 10 to 3:00 p.m.
Mid-Winter Camp is also available.
Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 20-21; 10 to 3:00 p.m.
Breakfast with the Birds
Ages 18 and up
Have breakfast with Queens Zoo Director Dr. Scott Silver and help the keepers both feed the birds and conduct a morning census, in this unique opportunity to learn about birds and speak with the people that care for them.
Saturday Oct. 20; 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Fee: $65 members; $75 non-members
