WCS-India staff volunteered at an urban planting event hosted by one of our collaborators on Saturday. Tree planting in cities creates green spaces that are recreational and beneficial to the well-being of city dwellers. When such plantation efforts carefully select native tree species, ensure aftercare for the survival of these trees, and are guided by science, it is helpful in the restoration of ecosystem services.
