Following productive discussions with Dr. Rohan Arthur (Founding Trustee, Senior Scientist, Nature Conservation Foundation) and Dr. Teresa Alcoverro (Adjunct Faculty, Nature Conservation Foundation) on the 31st of July, 2019, WCS-India signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Oceans and Coasts Program of the Nature Conservation Foundation (OCP-NCF).
The purpose of the MoU is to facilitate collaborative work between WCS-India and OCP-NCF to further marine conservation in India. Both the organizations aim to pool financial, technical and administrative resources to protect important marine habitats, develop and facilitate capacity building programs, and to collaborate on any other relevant conservation initiatives that are of common interest. Both teams look forward to a fruitful collaboration for the conservation of marine and coastal habitats of India.
