Wayanad: Abdul Wahab P V, Member of Parliament from Kerala, met with Prakriti Srivastava, Country Director, WCS-India and her colleagues P M Muthanna and Vinay Kumar M C, Assistant Directors – Conservation, on Sunday. They had a fruitful discussion with the MP at his residence in Nilambur, Kerala.
Yogesh Neelkanth, IFS, DFO, Nilambur North, K C Prasad, DFO, Wayanad North, Dhanesh Kumar, DFO, Flying Squad, Kozhikode, Abdullah Kunjiparambath, RFO, Flying Squad, Nilambur and K G Anwar, RFO, Central Nursery, Nilambur, from the Kerala Forest Department were also present for the discussions on wildlife conservation that ranged from habitat consolidation, human-wildlife interactions and ways to mitigate negative impacts, as also the use of CAMPA funds for wildlife habitat and corridor consolidation.
The MP assured the team all support for wildlife conservation, especially focussed on dimensions of human-wildlife interactions.
