The WCS-India Academic Committee will consist of scientists drawn from both the natural and social sciences in the organization. The committee will be predominantly responsible for academic activities of the organization, including:
1. Managing and directing the PhD Program offered by the organization and coordinating with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
2. Coordinating consortium related activities with National Centre for Biological Sciences and Nature Conservation Foundation.
3. Screening applications for grants, fellowships, workshops, etc.
4. Develop protocols and tools to educate all WCS-India Staff on basic research ethics and animal research and human research ethics.
