WCS Zoos and Aquarium Join Nationwide Effort to Cut Down on Single-Use Plastics

July 10, 2017 – The Wildlife Conservation Society’s five zoological parks in New York City, the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo are joining 19 Association of Zoos and Aquariums parks nationwide to announce the launch of a consumer campaign and business commitment to drive a shift away from using single-use plastics.

Central Park Zoo to Host Sculpture Safari

June 21, 2017 – The National Sculpture Society (NSS) and WCS’s Central Park Zoo will host a sculpture safari on Sunday, June 25^th for a full day of live sculpture demonstrations by animal sculptors at key locations within the zoo.

Hundreds Attend the Fourth Annual Sip for the Sea to Support the Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium and WCS’s commitment to marine conservation locally and around the world

New York – Sept. 15, 2016 – Nineteen of New York City's best chefs paired their food with great wine from Jekel Vineyards and Bonterra Organic Vineyards at Sip for the Sea 2016 to benefit the WCS’s New York Aquarium. Hundreds attended the event, which raised awareness about the importance of sustainable seafood. All proceeds will support the New York Aquarium and WCS’s commitment to marine conservation locally and around the world.
