Work experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in wildlife conservation and/or research.
About us: The Wildlife Conservation Society-India works to conserve wildlife, backed by science. We work in partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations to deal with conservation challenges such as human-wildlife interaction, voluntary relocation of people from protected forest areas, combatting wildlife trafficking, conservation of endangered species and so on. Committed to wildlife conservation and the ecological world view that recognizes the inextricable link between human welfare and protection of wildlife and wild spaces, WCS-India endeavors to inspire positive attitudes in people towards wildlife.
Required Qualification, Skills & Abilities:
- Masters in Wildlife Sciences/Zoology/Environmental Science/allied subjects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning, time management, problem solving and organizational abilities.
- Good analytical skills and well versed with MS Office
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in grant writing, proposals, and technical reports.
- Working knowledge of QGIS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with the project management team to maximize productivity
- Preparing of grants, proposals, technical and progress reports.
- Coordinate and provide support in management and monitoring the progress of the various projects that are currently being implemented by WCS-India.
- Provide technical/administrative support to the various project teams as and when required.
- Assist the Project Management team in organizing meetings, and workshops.
- Providing technical support to the Country Director-WCS India.
- Any other task/work assigned by the Reporting Head or the Country Director-WCS -India.
Compensation: Depending on the qualifications and experience.
