Team: Counter Wildlife Trafficking (CWT)
Location: Bangalore, India
The Counter Wildlife Trafficking (CWT) team at Wildlife Conservation Society-India is looking to hire a Technical Assistant as part of the Monitoring and Evaluation team to collect information on the different program interventions. The CWT team works using impactful tools and interventions to reduce wildlife trade across India, in close contact with state-level forest and police departments, security forces, customs and intelligence agencies
.Responsibilities:
- Handling calls and text to various levels of government officials
- Consistently gathering information relevant to program implementations
- Updating and maintaining information in a database
- Creating monthly progress reports
- Assisting with all other Monitoring and Evaluation activities
Requirements:
- Educational qualification - Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences or Social Sciences
- 1-2 years work experience in a relevant position preferred
- Fluency in English and Hindi
- Fluency in any North Eastern or Southern regional language strongly preferred
- Adept at effective communication
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapports with different department officials
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new software systems
- Passion to conserve wildlife and the environment
