As the demand for natural resources grows ever greater, WCS Cambodia is working with local community, government and private sector partners to balance the needs of people and wildlife. This work includes the development of new, on-the-ground initiatives such as Commercial Community Forestry and Forest Demarcation, as well as long-term site-based management. This work increases the capacity of Cambodian field teams, and informs the development of conservation policy at all levels.
WCS Cambodia senior staff also provide advice to the Cambodian government on the development of policies to govern natural resource use.
